TPMA is Now: PSHRA Chapter Tennessee
The Tennessee Personnel Management Association (TPMA) is excited to announce that we have a new name: PSHRA Chapter Tennessee. For more than 30 years, TPMA has proudly served as a chapter of IPMA HR. With the National organization’s recent rebranding to PSHRA – the Public Sector Human Resource Association, we are aligning our identity to reflect the same forward looking vision and unified professional community. While our name has changed, you can expect the same great people, same mission, and the same commitment to supporting public sector HR across Tennessee. Who can join?
If you work in local government or quasi-government agency, PSHRA TN welcomes you! Eligible members Include professions from:
- City, county, and state government
- School board
- Public Utilities
- Elected officials
- Public hospitals
- Anyone Interested In public human resources administration
Are you a student? PSHRA TN also offers student memberships for full-time undergraduate or graduate students and participants in recognized public service Internship programs.
At PSHRA TN, our goal is to empower and support HR professionals in the public sector. We focus on:
- Creating a forum to discuss key challenges in public HR administration.
- Implementing PSHRA's programs and Initiatives across Tennessee.
- Offering education opportunities through conferences, seminars, and regional meetings.
- Fostering collaboration among public and private sectors on HR Issues.
- Promoting awareness and understanding of human resource administration.
Dues

- If you are a PSHRA national member, dues are $50 per year.
- If you are not a member of national PSHRA, become a PSHRA TN Chapter Affiliate for $75 per year.
